After completing his BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Koç University in 2012, Can started working as a site engineer in the construction of Enerjisa's Tufanbeyli lignite power plant. After two years of on-site experience, he continued his studies in London at Coventry University's MBA in Oil and Gas Management.
Having completed his MBA with distinction, Can took over the commercial asset optimization analyst role at RWE & Turcas Guney Elektrik Uretim A.S, a JV of Germany's RWE and Turkey's Turcas Holding.
He was part of the team managing Denizli CCGT power plant's commercial operations and participated in trading, dispatching, risk management, and data analytics.
Later, while working at RWE, he earned the ERP (Energy Risk Professional) Certification, awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). At the end of 2019, he relocated to Luxembourg.
